We wanted to update you, as news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has been affecting people around the globe and now Virginia. It has always been a priority for us to offer our members and our guests a safe and healthy environment to worship and take their next steps towards Jesus.
Since New Life draws such large numbers of members and guests each week, we have had to adjust our services to be compliant with the governor’s directives. As a result, we have minimized seating in our sanctuaries and paused our KidLife services.
We will not stop our Church at Home experience. Our online Sunday service times are 11:00a, 2:00p and 6:00p, so you can join us for an encouraging message and uplifting worship, right from the comfort of your home. Additionally, we are streaming live Monday through Friday at noon for Midday, our daily moment of unscripted worship, prayer and encouragement. We are excited for you to join us for these experiences via your phone, smart tv, or computer.
We are still doing Life Groups. They just look different.
Across all campuses, our Life Groups have moved to using Zoom during this season. Zoom is a way to engage from your phone, tablet or computer with you church family using video chat. In these times, it is vital to stay connected, even if it’s online. See your Life Group leader for more details.
The call to discipleship isn’t on hold during a pandemic. But what does it look like to follow Jesus during these circumstances? How do we fulfill the two commandments to love God and to love neighbor when in quarantine?
Our Online Equipping Classes answer these very questions. These classes will add fuel to the fire of your love for God, and they will teach practical ways for us to love our neighbors as ourselves, whatever our circumstances.
We have eight different classes to choose from this Summer. Each class meets once a week for six weeks. Some meet in the afternoon, others in the evening. Everyone is invited to as many classes as they’d like to attend. Just click on the link below to see a list of classes and join in. Social distancing can’t stop our pursuit of Christ!
