Hello New Life Family!

Our staff is still present to give pastoral care to our congregation. As usual, if you have any needs, please contact your campus staff directly.

Good Afternoon New Life Family!
We had an amazing Sunday Service Yesterday and are so grateful to all of you that could join us. If you didn’t get a chance to be apart of it, you can still watch it right now on our YouTube channel or on our Facebook page. Be sure to check out our daily Midday services Monday through Saturday at 12:00p! That can also be viewed on our Facebook page or on our website, here.
Stay plugged in, church; social distancing doesn’t mean we have to be apart spiritually. Life Groups are still happening via Zoom. Please reach out to your Life Group leader for more details.

Hey New Life Family,
Drs. King and Williams from Rapha Counseling Services, LLC, a partner of New Life Church, are committed to providing Faith focused mental health counseling services. The occurrence of a natural disaster can elicit different and strong emotions. It is important to use methods to cope during times of stress to help you and your family recover from a disaster. Below we have shared some helpful links to support mental wellness as we contend with the COVID-19 virus.
The CDC has a wonderful website that addresses many mental health issues. The links below are targeted at overall self-care and helping children. Please feel free to review the resources below for ways to care for yourselves and each other during this challenging time.

Dear Church Family,
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’”- Ps. 91:1-2
We continue to pray that you are at peace and you and your family are abiding in the shadow of the Almighty! What a joy it is to know we serve a God who is faithful and over all things!
In our ongoing effort to prioritize the health and safety of our New Life family and to stay in compliance with the ever-evolving response to COVID-19, we will be canceling all group gatherings effective immediately. As the government has made restrictions on gatherings over 10 people, we are choosing to move any and all group gatherings to various online platforms and social media.
Life group and other leaders will receive the necessary training within the next couple of days on how to continue their group meetings via ZOOM. This method can be used for any smaller group gathering to enable us to stay connected AND safe. Please continue to check your emails and/or access the website for ongoing updates and communication.
We will begin to host a DAILY, online noontime prayer and encouragement session called “Midday”. This will be accessible here and Facebook Live. All are invited to join and invite others! Additionally, we will continue to provide inspirational items related to Jesus is __ on our Facebook page, as well as resources and devotionals for our families through our Family Ministries Facebook group here.
Of course, our Sunday experience will continue to be streamed live at 10a through the “Watch Live” button on our homepage and on Facebook Live. We are committed to staying connected with you and engaging the presence of God together each and every week!
We love you. We are praying for you, each of you!
In the shadow of the Almighty,
The New Life Pastoral team

We are praying for each of you, and love you dearly. Regardless of what we see or hear around us, we must remember that God is on the throne.. AND HE HAS THE LAST WORD!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
We will be communicating more current details in ways that we are looking to serve our community both virtually and through outreach opportunities. Please come back tomorrow for further details.
New Life Elders, Pastors, and Staff
Dear New Life Family,
After a great deal of prayer and conversation, we have made the decision to cancel all New Life Church services across all campuses. We believe this is the most appropriate response amidst the recommendations of our President, Governor, a team of medical professionals from our own church, and our collective leadership team at New Life. Yet most importantly, we sense from the Lord to do this.
Here is a video from our Senior Pastor addressing our church about this weekend and the current moment.
In lieu of our regular weekend services, we are preparing to provide live streaming on Sunday at 10:00a for an alternate worship, prayer, and sermon experience. This can be found on the New Life’s Facebook page, here.
We will provide updates about services and ministries through New Life’s social media platforms, website, text and email, and finally on our voicemail at 757.227.6930. Please direct any questions about the services or church functions that you may have to [email protected] and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Our campus offices will remain open with normal hours and operations throughout the week and our staff is still present to give pastoral care to our congregation. As usual if you have any needs please contact your campus staff directly.
While this is a fluid situation, God was not taken by surprise. He is among His people in a very special way and we believe this can be the Church’s finest hour. Let us pray confidently to our Good Father, believe firmly in the Word of God, love our church deeply, and missionally care for our region that needs hope and peace. Divine protection is our inheritance and the Name of the Lord is a refuge for His children to run into.
New Life Elders, Pastors, and Staff
Hello church! We are in real time discussion, research, and prayer as it relates to the decision of our weekend services. Please know we will communicate the decision churchwide by the end of today. Again, we are taking all the necessary precautions to disinfect our campuses but want to continue to make sure everyone is safe spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
No matter what, we will have our Facebook live service available Sunday morning. Please join us and share! We also want you to know that we will respond to any prayer needs or concerns submitted to our online ministry teams through Facebook or the Receive Prayer link available here or on our homepage. We have several pastors and key prayer and ministry leaders who are constantly monitoring and responding to prayer requests and any pastoral care needs.
New Life Pastoral Team
New Life Church has often times been referred to as a “safe place”. We take maintaining that reputation seriously. We want to remain a safe place not just spiritually and emotionally, but physically as well.
Therefore, we are closely monitoring the global outbreak of COVID-19, more commonly referred to as “coronavirus.” We are continually praying, seeking guidance, researching and taking the necessary precautions to ensure all our church family are safe should this illness impact our community. As we continue to closely monitor the situation, we are taking direction from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Virginia Department of Health regarding mitigation procedures.
The steps we are currently taking to maintain a safe environment at our campus include:
1. Regularly cleaning commonly touched areas including door knobs, handles and restrooms.
2. Restructuring our services to allow for a full worship experience while minimizing unnecessary risk (including the way we participate in communion, the receiving of the weekend’s offering and postponing the use of our campus coffee bars).
3. Constant and continued cleaning of our children’s areas before, during, and after all services.
4. Adding several hand sanitizing dispensers throughout all of our campuses.
