Church, on February 6, 2023, two earthquakes of 7.8 and 7.5 magnitudes struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, destroying thousands of buildings, killing over 20,000 people (as of February 9), and injuring tens of thousands. The quake was the largest in the region in over 100 years. The people of this region have suffered the unimaginable loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods in the midst of frigid winter temperatures and limited options for safe and warm shelter. The needs are overwhelming and urgent. And we are called to respond!  

We will take up a special offering towards the needs of the thousands impacted by these earthquakes in services the weekend of February 18-19. These funds will be distributed to strategic partners with “boots on the ground” in the affected regions.
