In the Classic Service, we give full expression to our church’s Spirit-filled distinctive while intentionally giving place to added elements of Christian worship that have historical precedence. Although we share the same sermon and many of the same songs as every other New Life service, we also observe the Lord’s Table every Sunday, and we incorporate other acts of worship such as corporate confession of sin, the Lord’s prayer, the public presentation of Scripture, and the profession of biblical and historical creeds. We observe the various seasons of the church calendar, while also keeping in step with New Life’s schedule of events.

Jesus taught his disciples, “every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old” (Matt 13:51). While we desire the new sound, the latest trends, and the fresh move of the Holy Spirit, we also cherish those aspects of Christian worship that, although seemingly traditional, are proven, tested, and true. Daniel Homan and Lonni Pratt penned it well: “Tradition is valuable, not because it is old and established but because it has endured and brought about much that is good.”

Saturday night worship is a place where people find community in the family of God! Sometimes life can get so busy that it’s difficult to find moments to steal away for worship and fellowship. This evening service is designed to create a family-like atmosphere that is casual and friendly, yet empowering through the loving Gospel of Jesus.

It’s a place to bring your friends, family, and neighbors so they can experience the love of God. Psalm 68:8 declares that God makes a home for the lonely and places the lonely in families. At Saturday Life there’s something for everyone!
