Pursuing Emotional and Mental Wholeness
To “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30) requires a holistic approach to wholeness in every believer. It is with this in view that addressing mental and emotional wholeness, in addition to ministering to the spirit of man, is essential for every believer. Acknowledging mental and emotional difficulties and challenges is not in opposition to walking in the fullness of Christ any more than acknowledging physical limitations is not opposed to walking in the fullness of Christ. Scripture uses the Greek word Sozo to speak of healing on multiple levels, encompassing the whole body of men and women. It is with this in mind that we offer the following resources to those longing to walk in greater understanding and awareness, as well as those who are contending for wholeness in every facet of their lives.
Save the date: On June 26th, we will have a mental health seminar, “A Whole You,” at our Kempsville Campus. We’re bringing in experts on topics such as addiction, anxiety, depression, suicide, grief, and trauma.
