We Are Family

We aim to radically transform the Hampton Roads community of students into passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Our passion is seeing teenagers encounter Jesus and be empowered to impact their generation for Him. We strive to inspire students with a revelation of who God is and who He desires to be in there lives. We believe that as truth is exposed it will lead to a radical transformation of the lives of students.

  • Multi-Ethnicity

    We intentionally develop cross-cultural relationships.

  • Discipleship

We establish mentorship opportunities for spiritual growth.

  • Community

We create a safe place for authentic fellowship.

  • Outreach

We give our faith feet by engaging with our community.

Union is designed to capture the awe and imagination of a student’s mind. God is the most creative being in all of existence. As His creation, why would we not strive for creating an atmosphere and environment reflective of that creativity in our places of worship? We aim to take the hand of God and the hand of a student and connect the two for an experience of worship unique to students and to provide a teaching crafted specifically for a teenager to grab hold of a proper understanding of the nature and character of God. The worship experience is just over an hour long and consists of worship, Word, and prayer.

Union takes place every Wednesday. The worship experience is from 6:30–7:45p followed with small group breakouts from 7:50-8:10p at the Kempsville campus.

The purpose of Groups is to create a place where every student has someone who believes in them and somewhere to belong. Connecting students to leaders who believe in them and believe in God is something that is generally not offered anywhere else within our culture. Groups are designed to help move students past information into experience.  1st & 3rd Wednesdays from 6:30–8:30 at the Deep Creek and Kempsville Campuses.

One of the best ways to connect with students is to simply have fun; fun creates opportunities for friendships to go deeper. At Youth Life, we believe it should be our responsibility to create a context and atmosphere for fun and laughter to be experienced. We believe that as God desires to have relationship with us, He desires for fun to be a part of that relationship. 4th Wednesday from 6:30–8:30 at the Deep Creek and Kempsville Campuses.
