Many Christians are becoming increasingly aware that real demonic forces are behind much of the cultural decay, political hostility, and advancement of immoral ideologies in Western society today. Yet, today’s challenges are nothing new. The Bible clearly portrays a world that is fallen and under the sway of our spiritual enemy. The Old Testament shows that God is committed to rescuing humanity from the grip of sin, and there is no greater book in the Bible to display God’s redemptive intervention than the book of Exodus. As we examine the history, theology, and spiritual warfare of the early Israelite nation, we will find hope for the very real battle in our own day and glean meaningful lessons to help us stand.
